BATON ROGUE MORGUE - Hat Trick (2012)

Bashing their way out of Porvoo, Finland, the five guys from BATON ROGUE MORGUE might have a name and some song titles that lean slightly towards the macabre, but the music owes a lot to '80s European Hard Rock.
Despite having been together only for 4 years the band has already released two EP's and an album independently, opened in their homeland for Lizzy Borden & L.A. Guns, and toured USA, Australia and Europe.
"Hat Trick" is Baton Rogue Morgue's international presentation, with a label support and plans to conquer the world in 2013.

Released the last December 21, "Hat Trick" comes laced with liberal doses of confident chugging riffs, a smashing rhythm section and Lee Angel Morgue's dynamic vocals.
It says a lot for the quality of this band that we can't find a single filler on the six tracks present in this recording.
Curiously, they have chosen as first single and made a video for the less interesting of all; "Crystal City" (check below), which does not means it isn't effective, just the most generic of the bunch.
But where the band really hit paydirt is on the killer "Massacre Of St. Valentine's Day", the pumping "Tokyo Nights" and the commercial, anthemic title track "Hat Trick", all humming with real bite and purpose.

Baton Rogue Morgue is a band with a brilliant future. They have the fire, the songs and a truly excellent musicianship.
"Hat Trick" rocks from start to Finnish with a great polished production and the crystal clear sound typical from the Scandi acts that will appeal fans of traditional '80s Hard and beyond.
Baton Rogue Morgue will be playing at the Whisky A Go Go, Key Club & alikes soon and starting the recording of they first full length world release.
